1. If you choose to request an interview with one of our public speakers or want to subscribe to e-mail notification of updates to various areas of the Information Commissioner's site you will need to pass personal data to the Information Commissioner through this site.
   
   
2. Where you provide personal data to the Commissioner such data will be used only for the service you have requested.
   
   
3. The Information Commissioner's site does not automatically capture or store personal data from visitors to the site, other than to log the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit to the site and the nature of the browser used. This information is used only for administration of the site system and in the compilation of statistics used by the Information Commissioner to assess the use of the site.
   
   The Information Advertising Bureau  provide in depth information about cookies. The IAB site also tells you how to remove cookies  from your browser.
